About the Church:

LifeSpring Church is located on the south side of Omaha in Bellevue, Nebraska and serves as a regional church with students that come from multiple school districts. Being a church with a regional reach and in the shadow of Offutt Air Force Base, we have a diverse group of families. LifeSpring has historically been a church that serves the southern suburbs of Omaha and rural areas south, along with our military families. We are known for being a church that is committed to the Gospel, connecting people together on mission, serving our city and world, and reaching the next generation.

About the Position:

This is an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about the Next Generation who wants to lead and grow a student ministry. This position will lead our 7^th – 12^th grade students. Our next Student Ministries Pastor will recruit, shepherd, mentor, and lead all involved in students’ activities in the church. He will also serve on the greater pastoral team and be engaged in not only the future of our student ministry but also in shaping and serving LifeSpring Church.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate parent partnerships and collaborate with our pastors and set the student ministry pace. LifeSpring needs a Student Ministry Pastor to dig in and lead by example relationally, culturally, spiritually, and missionally to take the students, leaders, and overall ministry to the next level.
• In this next season, LifeSpring Students needs a team-building leader to strategically assess and align the programming, facilities, resources, and offerings that serve Middle School and High School students and leaders. This must be done in collaboration with church leadership.
• Bring Fresh Eyes & Help Build: The ministry desires that the Student Ministries Pastor will come in, jump on board, work with all his resources to create a space and culture for students and leaders to connect, grow, and multiply as followers of Jesus Christ.
• Disciple Students on Mission: The strategic thread throughout LifeSpring Church is that following Christ means joining Him on a mission for the Gospel. This happens in the church, locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
• Be a First In, Last Out Leader: Staff and lay leaders at Lifespring church are humble, energetic, sacrificial servants who pave the way by setting a Godly example. Our desire for our next student pastor is to create a culture of camaraderie within the Student Ministry.
• Manage Student Ministry budgets to achieve ministry goals, oversee student small groups, and facilitate a clear process for students to receive Christ, be baptized, and serve in the church and beyond.

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

• Passion for lifelong relational discipleship and missions.
• Focused and called to reach and equip 7-12th graders and leaders.
• Strong character conforming to the standards for Biblical eldership according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; a Master’s Degree preferred.
• Proven leadership and management skills. Must be strongly relational and a great team builder and coach.
• Gifted teacher and preacher. Must be able to provide an in-depth understanding of biblical teaching while at the same time relating truth to the everyday life and worldview of students.
• Organizational skills for growing, mobilizing, and maintaining a strong, effective team and student ministry programming.
• Theologically aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention.
