Glasgow Evangelical Church (GEC) in Glasgow, Montana is looking to hire a Campus Administrator.  Could you be the one for this unique ministry position?

 

The mission of the Campus Administrator job at GEC is to uniquely focus on loving others through communication and outreach, both inside and outside the building, as well as virtually.  Our goal is that we are constantly sharing Jesus with others.  We want to make Jesus famous!

 

Objectives: Under the leadership of the Lead Pastor this position is responsible for coordinating church activities, facilitating the effective use of the church’s facilities and volunteers, and for welcoming and assisting visitors and callers. This position provides assistance to the staff as needed to support their ministries.

 

Duties:

Church Communication, Facility Coordination, and Church Management System Duties:

Schedule staff approved events and coordinate activities to meet the needs associated with these events. (e.g. arrange for janitors, volunteers, unlocking and locking doors, sound equipment and operators, etc. for funerals, weddings, special events, classes, etc.)

 

Participate in weekly staff meetings and meet regularly with individual staff to discuss upcoming events and how to assist in meeting their ministry needs.

 

Maintain a church calendar for scheduling events and facility use.

 

Keep staff and volunteers informed of coming events and their associated responsibilities and assignments.

 

Promote and advertise upcoming events. Create graphics via digital and traditional media to promote church activities. Create and update signs promoting the various ministries’ and directing people to various locations within the church facility.

 

Arrange follow up with new attendees and volunteers.

 

Maintain an electronic record of all church attendees and volunteers including contact and family information.

 

Work with children’s ministry to develop and run a children’s check in system.

 

Assist in recruiting volunteers.

 

Communicate on a regular basis with attendees, members, and volunteers to inform them of current church activities, and of other matters as requested by staff.

 

Technology, Website and Social Media Duties:

Maintain and improve the church’s website.

 

Establish and maintain the church’s social media profiles. Make frequent posts supporting the ministry and ensure timely response to inquiries.

 

Draft and send correspondence as requested by staff.

 

Other Daily and Monthly Duties

Prepare the weekly bulletin for Sunday’s service.

 

Attend monthly council meetings and record minutes.

 

Ensure the church facility’s public areas are maintained in presentable fashion.

 

Maintain office equipment and both office and information desk supplies.

 

Assist the trustees with maintaining the facility and equipment.

 

Track church equipment that is loaned out.

 

Assist with the recording and depositing of donations as requested by the church Treasurer.

 

Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor or collectively by the Church council.

The use of computers, various software, and social media

Website design and/or maintenance

Marketing and/or graphic design
