Relevant and growing large church is seeking a full-time Life Care Ministries Pastor. You will join with a dynamic staff team in a grace-filled environment taking cues from North Point Ministries, Willow Creek Community Church, and “Simple Church”.  The Life Care Ministries Pastor will report to the Adult Life Pastor and be a part of the Adult Ministries team.


Summary:  The Life Care Director (Pastor) is responsible for providing services and supervision in the following ministry areas:  Coaching/Mentoring (individual, couples and family), Premarital Counseling, DivorceCare, GriefShare, Celebrate Recovery, Mercy, Benevolence, Financial Peace University and other care needs.  The ideal candidate will have a heart for people who are walking through care needs in people's lives and the experience to help manage people and teams to care for a vast group of people. This position will allow you to help in mentoring marriages and pre-marital counseling, engaging in people's recovery process, and working alongside of our small groups to help create a care network so that we can care for many people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Be someone who positively reflects the vision, mission, strategy and values to those inside and outside our walls.
  • Be able to assess and advise attendees and volunteers as to how and where they can take their next steps towards God and within the ministry.

  • Help maintain spiritual life of employees of CRC, by shepherding, listening to and providing care for staff, communicating to leadership as needed.

  • Actively recruit new leaders and provide training for volunteers and leaders, as well as, provide oversight, vision, and direction to both lay leaders and group members of Marriage One Day, Pre-marital couples,  DivorceCare, Griefshare, Celebrate Recovery, Financial Peace, and Mercy/Prayer Ministries, Weddings, Funerals and Benevolence requests.

  • Provide short term counseling (1-2 sessions) for individuals, couples and families that attend CRC.

  • Provide referrals to individuals requiring more intense/long-term counseling.

  • Stay up to date with current counseling, ministry and liability issues.

  • Provide premarital counseling for engaged couples who attend CRC.

  • Work with Pastoral staff to revise, refine and assess the premarital ministry.

  • Develop and maintain policies for the Benevolence ministry and funerals at CRC.

  • Meet with and determine appropriate action to be taken with CRC Attendees and non-Attendees who need benevolence assistance.

  • Oversee wedding activity at CRC which includes setting policies and guidelines, coordination with Pastors, pre-marital counseling, and wedding coordinator team.

  • Be a part of our pastor team who will perform weddings and/or funerals as needed.


Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous counseling/care experience recommended.


Experience working with people in Recovery

Ordained and able to perform weddings and funerals

Experience in counseling
