Our Children's Ministry means a lot to us, as it should in every church. We are looking for someone who has a true calling to minister to our children, as well as equip families to be stronger for the work of God. The ministerial staff currently consists of our Lead Pastor, Discipleship Pastor, Worship & Senior Adult Pastor, and College/Career & Youth Pastor. Longevity in ministry is truly one of our church's strengths. Serving God in ministry is much easier when it is done as a team seeking the same goal together - Glorifying Jesus by making disciples.
Weekly responsibilities include an opportunity to lead a mid-week worship service for 1st through 6th graders, as well as facilitate children's church on Sunday mornings during our worship service. The Children's Pastor position also works with a volunteer team to plan and implement our Fall Festival, summer camps, Vacation Bible School, and our Upward Basketball ministry.
FBC Florence is located in the heart of downtown Florence, Mississippi about seven miles south of the capital city of Jackson. We are a growing, multi-generational church in a city that can be described the same way. Our church focuses on what it means to be a family and members of the body of Christ. Historically, FBC Florence is just a few years from celebrating it's 200 year anniversary. It is a minister-friendly congregation that has a reputation of long-tenured ministerial staff that is allowed use their gifts to lead the people of God, as well as reach out to those who need Jesus.
