Our mission is to make disciples who make disciples. Matthew 4:19 is the defining statement on discipleship and is how we define discipleship at East Side. "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men." In that short statement, Jesus made it clear that discipleship is about doing three things. First, only through following Him will anyone be an obedient disciple. Second, only through submitting to His Lordship and allowing Him to do the work of making us into disciples will we become a true disciple. Third, fishers of men is all about being on mission with Jesus and becoming completely invested in His mission to reach those who do not know Jesus and disciple them.
