In 1943, Christ Church (then known as Christ Church Mission) was formally recognized by the Diocese of North Carolina with 98 families in membership. Today we are a large, diverse Episcopal Church with over 5,000 members of varied spiritual inclinations: conservative and liberal, traditional and charismatic, evangelical and social justice. We are deeply committed to serving and advocating for justice in our city, nation, and world.
